All appointments are virtual consultations and take place over Zoom calls.

Virtual care is not appropriate in all situations.

What is a Virtual Veterinary Consult?

• For pets with a chronic, stable condition or for a second opinion on a complex disease.

• Great for:

  • Additional support in managing a disease diagnosed by your primary vet.

  • Balancing multiple issues such as kidney disease, arthritis, etc.

  • Guidance on the next steps to diagnose or help your pet.

  • Exploring alternative treatment options

  • Discussing weight loss, nutrition, behavior, and other non-urgent health issues.

• NOT for:

  • Minor or urgent illnesses (like ear infections, UTI or kennel cough). These require in-person care for prompt treatment.

  • Emergencies.

  • Medication refills.

• Your pet must be present for a short virtual exam.

• Includes:

  • Up to 30 minute scheduled Zoom video call with a short virtual exam.

  • Detailed written summary with treatment plan and next steps.

  • Diagnostic tests recommendations if needed (in-home testing options may be available in some situations).

  • Prescriptions for short-term medications in some situations (cost of medications not included).

  • Review of submitted pre-visit forms, photos, and videos.

  • Evaluation of submitted medical records. It is the pet owner’s responsibility to obtain all relevant records and lab results. Must be sent to Dr. Sarah at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time.

  • One follow up email - must be submitted within 5 days after your appointment.
